About Stan

Music was my first love. With a mother and an older brother who played piano, this came naturally. Early on I was picking out tunes I had heard on the piano. Once, I remember working hard to find all the notes to "Jesus Loves Me" — and that experience of discovering music by ear has shaped how I teach ever since.

I participate in the Royal Conservatory Certificate Program, a national standard of musical success from The Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto, Canada). All students are encouraged to participate at their own pace.
